30 Jahre Alpenschule Westendorf
The Almabtrieb in Westendorf will form a festive highlight at the beginning of the autumn season on Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. in the town center at Festplatz Paulschneidern. The focus is on the traditional return of the farmers, where the livestock is driven back from the alpine pastures to the meadows in the valley – an impressive tradition that attracts numerous visitors each year.
As part of the “Hoamfahrerfest,” typical Brixentaler specialties and regional delicacies will be offered in a convivial atmosphere. Traditional, spirited music and a great atmosphere complete the festival, with the group “die Hinterlechner” providing the appropriate musical entertainment.
The Almabtrieb weekend will already begin on Thursday, September 17, 2026, with the Schau-Zuichi market in the town center, which combines crafts, culinary delights, and live music.
On Friday, September 18, 2026, the Almabtriebs-Dämmerschoppen invites you to enjoy regional delicacies and socializing, setting the mood for the upcoming festival. Following that, the last concert of the season 2026 will take place at the music pavilion in Westendorf.
