The Nachtsöllberg

You can start this sporty mountain hike in a practical way in the centre of Westendorf. Along the way, there are several huts where you can stop for a bite to eat and many other hiking trails join the tour, so there are many possible combinations.
From the tourist office you walk uphill along the Pfarrgasse to the junction of the hiking trails above the Gasthof "Bruchstall". This beautiful hiking trail leads you first to the beautifully situated Zieplhöfe. Shortly after the "Oberzieplhof" you turn back into the forest on a hiking trail. Following the path, you will reach the "Alte Mittel", which was extended and refurbished in 2019, again a great place to stop. Above the "Alte Mittel" you will find the continuing path to the Gasthaus "Stimmlach". The hiking trail continues across the meadow immediately after the inn. This will take you to the Alpenrosenbahn’s middle station and then on to the rustic "Sonnalm" mountain inn. Here you have the possibility to use the Alpenrosenbahn, either uphill or downhill.
