  • The start of the via ferrata is reached from the Kammerkör Panorama Restaurant via the Triassic Trail in the direction of the viewing platform. Halfway down, the Gamssteig branches off to the right into the mountain pine field - a short via ferrata at the foot of the wall, via ferrata equipment required. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the entrance. The Schuastagangl is secured throughout with clamps and ropes, although the distances between the clamps are somewhat wider in places. After the entry passage (A/B), you go up the so-called Himmelsleiter (B/C) and clamps. As you continue, flatter and steeper passages and steps alternate (A-C) before you reach a gorge. Here, not only the massive rock tower standing in front of you is impressive, but also the magnificent panorama. The easier variant leads through the gorge. For those who prefer airy steps over brackets and wide, deep views, the circumnavigation of the rock tower via the "Knieschloderer" (D) offers a more demanding variant that leads back to the normal route via a rope bridge. Via partly steeper ascents and ramps (B-D) you reach the exit of the via ferrata on the plateau of the Steinplatte and the summit cross at 1,848 m above sea level.

    Via ferrata - length: 220 m
    Climbing time: 1 h

Return via the hiking trail from the summit of the Steinplatte either to the mountain station of the cable car, or further down to the car park of the toll road.
  • The first 900 m of ascent are easy on the e-bike via the asphalt toll road to the Steinplatte. From the high-altitude car park, the route continues uphill for a bit, past the Stallenalm and the reservoir, to the mountain station and the Kammerkör panorama restaurant. The bike can be parked here in the area of the restaurant.
