Nordic academy

The morning still lies quietly over the valley; the air is cool and clear. With the first steps on soft forest floor, more than just a run begins – it is an immersion into a landscape that comes alive with every metre. The scent of damp earth, the crackling of twigs, the soft rustling of the trees. In the Pillerseetal, the trails lead away from everyday life and into the mountains. Past alpine meadows, along glistening lakes, up to vantage points where the view makes everything stand still for a moment. Sometimes flowing and easy, sometimes steep and challenging – every path tells its own story. Here, it’s not the time that counts, but the feeling: when your breathing quickens, your thoughts calm down and your mind clears. When effort turns into ease and every step into freedom.
And once a year, this passion becomes particularly palpable: at the KAT100 by UTMB, the Pillerseetal becomes a stage for trail runners from all over the world – a moment that shows what this region stands for: genuine emotions, great challenges and unforgettable runs.
