Tour information

Start this tour at the Hotel Leamwirt (ski bus stop) on the Penningberg - the high plateau above Hopfgarten. From there, follow the signs 'Penninger Runde' to the small hamlet Penningdörfl. Leaving the chapel in the centre of the hamlet behind you, turn right and walk along the edge of the forest.
After about 800 m you reach the farms Flickl and Rotenau. At the Rotenau farm, with a bit of luck, you will meet farmer Johann. He is an enthusiastic horse owner and carriage driver.
If you are interested in a romantic carriage ride through the snowy winter landscape, you can register right here. From here, continue to follow the signs and after about half an hour you will return to the Dörfl. Here it is worth making a detour to the Milchbuben farm shop. The two brothers Markus and Thomas produce a very special kind of soft cheese on their parents' Rehaber farm.
After the detour to the farm shop, you return to the starting point via the prepared piste..
