Traucha Round Tour (MBT Route 295)

Start this tour at the P3 Wasserfeld car park in Hopfgarten and ride on the road to Kelchsau into the valley. After approx. 100m turn right onto the road to Penningperg. Over the next 2 km you will climb 250m before you reach the beautiful sunny plateau of the Penningberg. In many places, the magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and the Hohe Salve is accompanied by the tinkling of grazing cows. After about an hour's ride, you reach the Leamwirt inn , where you can enjoy a snack.

If you want to get some regional products to take home, a detour to Penningdörfl is a good idea. In the peaceful mountain village, the Milchbuben have set up their cheese dairy and a small farm shop. There, delicatessen lovers will find self-service cheese, bread, pasta and many other regional, farm products.
After the rest or the detour to Penningdörfl, continue along Penninger Straße uphill for a short while. After the small sports field (on the left) turn left into Trauchaweg. Follow this path until you reach the two Traucha farms at the end, high above the valley. From there, you take a dirt road into the forest and continue downhill. Caution: Here you need to be in full control of your bike.
Finally, you reach the Kelchsau road and follow it out of the valley until you return to the starting point.
