Tour information

The starting point of this hike is the middle station of the Salvistabahn in Itter. Walk a few meters along the forest road until the path branches off to the right onto a narrow trail through the forest. At the beginning of the trail, you pass two caves. Between the trees, you can enjoy the wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. Halfway along, you can leave the trail and continue on the forest road, or stay on the trail and hike up to the mountain station of the Salvistabahn. The trail is briefly interrupted by the forest road; cross it once before the trail continues on the other side. You can return to the starting point via the forest road or with the Salvistabahn.

Arrival by car Arriving from Innsbruck/Munich: A12 exit Wörgl Ost - feeder road B178 towards St. Johann i. T. & Kitzbühel - after the tunnel exit towards Hopfgarten - at the roundabout take the B170 towards Hopfgarten - in Hopfgarten before the railway underpass turn left towards SkiWelt - follow the signs to your destination.
Arriving from Kitzbühel: B170 Brixentalstraße direction Wörgl - in Hopfgarten after the second railway underpass take the first exit on the right direction SkiWelt - follow the signs to your destination.
