The starting point for this walk is the Lettenbichl car park in Embach, a district of Angerberg. From there, a well-maintained forest track winds its way uphill in a series of hairpin bends. After about 2 to 2.5 hours, you reach the cosy Buchackeralm. At the alpine inn, a cart track branches off to the right, followed by a meadow path leading to the Buchacker-Wirtskreuz and on via a meadow trail to the Buchackerkreuz. An impressive panorama of the Inn Valley opens up here. The view stretches as far as the Tauern and the highest peaks of the main Alpine ridge. The return journey follows the same route as the ascent.
