Tour information

The starting point of the tour is the Hopfgarten middle station. From there, follow the path to the Speichersee Hohe Salve (No. 99). Passing the first reservoir, continue to the second lake, the Salvensee (No. 90/99). Once you reach the second lake, follow the signs towards Alpengasthof Rigi (No. 71). Passing the Rigi, the path leads to the Speichersee Kleine Salve (No. 67/68). At the Kälberalm, keep right and initially follow the signs for No. 70 Kraftalm. At the next junction, follow path No. 70 towards Speichersee Kleine Salve. Once at the mountain station, take the Salvistabahn down to Itter. From there, you can take bus line 862 back to Hopfgarten.

Getting there Coming from Innsbruck/Munich: A12 exit Wörgl Ost – feeder road B178 towards St. Johann i. T. & Kitzbühel – after the tunnel take the exit towards Hopfgarten – at the roundabout take the exit onto the B170 towards Hopfgarten – in Hopfgarten turn left before the railway underpass towards SkiWelt – follow the signs to the destination.

Coming from Kitzbühel: B170 Brixentalstraße towards Wörgl – in Hopfgarten after the second railway underpass take the first exit on the right towards SkiWelt – follow the signs to the destination.
Public transport Arrival:

Train: Hopfgarten Berglift station

Bus: Hopfgarten Berglift stop

From Itter back to the starting point:

Bus: Itter Salvistabahn / bus line 862
