Easy trail routes

Sun Trail - Brixen im Thale

The Sun Trail is located in Brixen im Thale and at 2.5 kilometres in length, 400 metres ascent, is regarded as a beginner trail. The trail is accessible via Brixen on bike route 265 up to Berggasthof Nieding - subsequently via route 299 or 288. Access to Suntrail is even more convenient via Hochbrixen cable car.

Hahnenkamm Trail - Kitzbühel

Another trail rated as easy is located in the ‘Gamsstadt’, or Kitzbühel. The Flow Trail proceeds via the renowned Hahnenkamm and Streif race routes. The starting point is therefore very flexible - the mountain station in Kitzbühel. Beginners as well as those at a more advanced level are guaranteed to have fun on the natural sections, grassy bends, small waves, take-offs and natural obstacles.

Harschbichl Trails - St. Johann in Tirol

Harschbichl Trails - St. Johann in Tirol

Two easy single trails ideal for beginners in the St. Johann region. With a total length of 3.9 kilometres, 518 metres in depth, 145 bends, numerous tables, doubles, shark fins and a drop, trail enthusiasts are in for a great bike ride! The Harschbichl Trails were built by renowned trail designers and include very naturally designed facilities. The starting point of the trail is at the middle station of the Harschbichl cable car and leads down to the valley station. The difficulty level of the Harschbichl trails is medium in the upper section and easy in the lower section. There is a Skill Park area at the end of the trails. There you can perfect your riding skills and technique on several practice trails with various obstacles.

OD Trails - Oberndorf in Tirol

Bike park for all cycling, enduro and cross-country -fans! In Oberndorf in the Kitzbühel Alps the OD trails provide a total of four trails: the Green, Blue, Red and Black Line. Difficultly levels range from very easy to difficult. There is also a Jump Line providing three difficulty levels and a Skill Area. Using this bike area is very convenient with the first tow facility in Tyrol for cyclists.

Fleckalm Trail - Kirchberg in Tirol

Fleckalm Trail - Kirchberg in Tirol

The Fleckalm Trail is a very well-known 7.1 kilometre single trail which is one of the five "Great Trails Tyrol". This really variety-packed route has lots of different jumps, root-strewn sections and the tidiest berms, while being one of the longest trail descents in Tyrol. The short counter ascents and fast sections set every enduro heart racing. Start at 1797m altitude at the mountain station which shares the same name, the Fleckalmbahn (gondola lift) in Klausen. Just a few metres on the signposted forest path, then you are right at the signposted start area for the trail.

Lisi Osl Trail - Kirchberg in Tirol

This medium difficulty level single trail spanning 2.3 kilometres in length is named after the cross-country World Cup legend, Lisi Osl. The trail route features 450m flowing sections, complete with roots, easy levels and berms. This single trail is always worth the trip, for beginners and pros alike. The start point is located right at the mountain station for the Gaisbergbahn (chairlift) at 1270m. And of course the 450m can, as ever, be ‘ridden’ via mountain bike route 203 .

Wiegalm Trail - Brixen in Thale

Wiegalm Trail - Brixen in Thale

The Wiegalm is directly above the start of this natural trail. The single trail is part of a shared trail, inspiring with it stone-strewn and rooted sections, which provide plenty of flow into the valley. To be able to ride the 1.6 kilometres down, there is around 400 m uphill riding initially, through the loveliest scenery. There is the option to choose Route 210 Brixen im Thale via the Wiegalm, or Route 257 from Kirchberg.

Difficult trail routes

Gaisberg Trail - Kirchberg in Tirol

Gaisberg Trail - Kirchberg in Tirol

The 2.3 km single trail is located on the mountain which bears the same name. The Gaisberg trail proceeds beneath the Gaisberg chairlift. You can therefore also make use of the lift facility. This challenging route - rated as difficult - was also the venue for the Austrian Downhill Championships in 2014. The 450 metres descent to the valley also require a certain degree of technique, yet there are superb rooted sections, speed areas, fast jumps over wood constructions and terrain edges to enjoy. Chicken ways are also available as alternatives.
