Event information

Discover the smallest dairy farm in Itter - home of the rare Tyrolean Grey Cattle, an endangered breed of cattle. Farmer Stefan, a passionate part-time farmer, mountain rescuer, and former avalanche dog handler, takes you on an exciting journey through the world of traditional dairy processing, alpine farming, and the annual mountain drive. At the same time, you will gain fascinating insights into the modern side of mountain life: Learn exciting things about machine snowmaking, slope preparation, avalanche detonations, as well as the work of slope rescue, mountain rescue, and the emergency helicopter. To conclude, you will prepare the traditional dish "Rahmmuas" together with Stefan - of course with subsequent tasting. The evening will be musically rounded off with a few pieces on the Styrian accordion.
