Region Hohe Salve

The region Hohe Salve in the Kitzbüheler Alpen hosts one of the largest and most modern ski resorts in the world, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, where skiing holidays in winter are packed with fun and action. In summer, the hiking area in and around Hopfgarten im Brixental extends from the Adlerweg trail on Buchacker mountain via the adventure mountain Hohe Salve to the Torhelm, the highest peak in the Kitzbüheler Alpen. Be it spring, summer, autumn or winter – in the Kitzbüheler Alpen you find boundless possibilities for leisure time activities such as skiing, cross-country skiing, winter rambling, cycling, hiking, swimming, and many others. Apart from the fantastic view of the Kitzbühel Alps the cabin also offers a private spring, a cosy live-in kitchen with a wood-burning stove, a gas stove and water from the tap (hot and cold). There is also a new shower and a toilet. The cabin provides 3 bedrooms, one double on the ground floor, and two twins on the first floor (with a balcony). Enjoy the evening on the patio and fire up the barbecue grill. The 500 m2 garden offers a pond and a well. There is no electricity in the cabin which makes it particularly interesting to children who often can hardly imagine life without electricity anymore.

In summer there is a dairy farm (no selling of drinks) right next to the cabin.

In winter the cabin can be reached on foot in a walking time of app. 60 minutes (depending on snow conditions)
The cabin is particularly popular in winter for snow-shoeing tours and ski tours which can be started right from the doorstep.

From Hopfgarten, right opposite of the Neuschmied sawmill, turn right towards Glantersberg.
Follow the road uphill for about 15 minutes. Stay on this road. At the last farmstead turn right at the wood pile and follow the forest track. After about 15 minutes you'll have reached your holiday destination.
NOTE: Follow the yellow-blue marked sign n°228 'Toif-Ölbankalpe-Sonnblick'.
