Lezing (Duits)|Concert|Matinée: Ghazal

The ghazelen, a highly poetic literary form from the Arabic and Persian regions, has also reflected Europe's longing for the Orient for around 700 years. The central theme of the ghazelen is love, be it for a deity or a person. In this project, the transnational creative power of oriental poetry and its connection with European music will become tangible. Piano, clarinet, voice and language come together in all kinds of combinations, from solo to quartet, from improvisation created in the moment to the most finely spun song. The spectrum ranges from rare names such as Koechlin or Szymanoswki to famous composers such as Schönberg or Schubert.
