The railway line through the Deutsches Eck corridor will undergo renovation and be completely closed between Freilassing and Rosenheim. For ÖBB passengers travelling to Tyrol, hourly rail replacement bus services will operate from Salzburg to Kufstein or Innsbruck. This will increase journey times by approximately 60 minutes.
Passengers who prefer to travel without changing can use the Railjet services on the Vienna–Zurich route, which will be diverted via Bischofshofen every two hours. This will extend journey times by approximately 90 minutes to Innsbruck and 120 minutes to the Tyrolean Oberland region (Landeck-Zams, St. Anton am Arlberg).

There are also direct links from Vienna, Salzburg and from Munich into the region.
