Fox Hunt in the Lower Inn Valley in Wörgl
With the "Brixentaler Bergleuchten," summer is celebrated in the towns of Hopfgarten, Itter, Kirchberg in Tirol, Brixen im Thale, and Westendorf in a traditional manner: thousands of burning torches illuminate the night and the surrounding mountains.
As dusk falls, viewers are treated to a fascinating spectacle: on the slopes of the Brixental, over 50,000 torches now form impressive fire images. In the evening, these works of art are ignited by local clubs, transforming the valley and the mountains into a sparkling starry sky.
At around 9:30 p.m., the local clubs ignite their erected symbols.
