The Wilder Kaiser Steig was established in 1990 by linking several existing trails and paths below the rock walls of the Wilder Kaiser massif. Plan two days to hike the entire length of the trail. Overnight accommodation is available at Gaudeamushütte (1260m, AV) and Gruttenhütte (1620m, AV). Alternatively you can do sections of the trail as day hikes, with starting point in any of the towns between St. Johann in Tirol and Kufstein. Please note that Schaflsteig (closed temporarly) and Jubiläumssteig are for experienced hikers only.
