Tirol’s Adlerweg trail proceeds through the Kitzbüheler Alpen - Westendorf is a part of the long-distance hiking trail Number 1
Tirol’s Adlerweg trail proceeds in twenty three stages over three hundred kilometres right through Tirol, from St. Johann in the Tirol Lowlands, across the Karwendel up to St. Anton am Arlberg, making it Tirol’s number one long distance cycling route. The regional routes proceed through the lateral valleys and through the Kitzbüheler Alpen. The eagle has been chosen as the symbol since the shape of the route is reminiscent of the shape of its wings and because the "King of the skies" embodies pride, freedom and strength – just like the proud state of Tirol.
