Mühltal round tour
We start this walk in the village square of Itter. First we walk along the Rosenweg trail to Dörfl with its splendid farmhouses. From there we follow the signpost “Mühltalrundweg” towards Nasen. The route leads slightly uphill through the forest. After crossing the road we continue along the hiking and cycling path. Soon we get to Gasthof Rösslwirt which is popular for its down-to-earth Tyrolean cuisine. We then walk on along the stream Dengbach in the direction of Schwendt. After the underpass we walk uphill again, past wonderful farmhouses in the Schwendt area. In winter, the Salvista gondala lifts you right up into the ski area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental. We follow the asphalt road back to our starting point. By the way – Mühltalrundweg is part of the St.James Trail!
