This tour starts at Gasthof Rummlerhof, in the hamlet of Hinterkaiser in St. Johann in Tirol. Walk to Maurern farmhouse where you follow the signs to Diebsöfen/Schleier Wasserfall. At the waterfall continue to Graspoint Hochalm, a beautiful old mountain hut, and Ackerlhütte (open on weekends; please note: ONLY beverages are available). A scree trail winds its way up through dwarf pines and past the remains of the old Ackerlhütte to steep rocks and meadows. Climb up to Niedersessel cirque. Go on to the trail junction in the middle of the cirque directly up to a steep rock face. Climb this rock face - there are some iron grips at the most difficult parts. If you are looking closely you will be able to see a heart in the rock. The last stretch to the peak involves some nice scrambling. Once on the summit, the views of the surrounding peaks and the valley are overwhelming, and you will feel as if you were on top of the world.
