This tour starts in St. Johann in Tirol and leads via Oberhofen, the St. Johann airfield, and the Winkl-Sonnseite farmsteads to Fieberbrunn. In Fieberbrunn there are two options to get to St. Jakob in Haus. The steeper and longer approach leads via Obwall into the center of town. After changing to the other side of the valley, continue past the chairlift up to Buchensteinwand and through the idyllic hamlets of Flecken and Schwendt, which form part of the St. Ulrich am Pillersee municipality. Cross the federal road in Straß, continue along the opposite side of the road for a short stretch, make a right at Sport Günther and ride through the pretty center of St. Ulrich to beautiful Lake Pillersee. Follow the wide trail along the right side of the lake to the little pilgrimage church in St. Adolari. This trail can get busy with strollers and joggers, so watch out. Cross the road and pick up the bicycle path to your left, which takes you to the pristine Öfenschlucht Gorge, a fascinating natural attraction thanks to its unique rock formations. Continue along the Pillersee federal road to the center of Waidring where you take the village road, which runs above the base terminal of the gondola to Steinplatte. Ride through the underpass and pick up the cycleway towards Erpfendorf. In Enthgrieß take the underpass to the other side and continue to Erpfendorf. In Erpfendorf you can either change to the Großachendamm river trail to Kirchdorf or stay on the same side and use the underpass. From the center of Kirchdorf take the trail to the left of the river to Furth. Change to the other side and ride back to the center of St. Johann in Tirol.
