Hohe Salve - Kraftalm

Due to its free-standing position, the Hohe Salve, also called „Rigi of Tyrol“, offers a 360° panoramic view which is without equal. You can see the numerous glaciers of the Hohe Tauern and the Zillertaler Alps rise high above the Kitzbühel Alps in the south while in the north, your eye might reach as far as  Munich on clear days. The path from the peak of the Hohe Salve down to Kraftalm leads past the radio mast to the summit cross from where you are granted amazing views down to Hopfgarten. Over the sunny western ridge, the tour goes on downwards to the Rigi alpine inn from where a bendy trail leads you via the Kälberalm alpine pasture to Kraftalm. Don’t miss the rewarding detour to the pilgrimage chapel which has been dedicated to Saint Lucio, Teodul and Fridolin
