Due to its free-standing position, the Hohe Salve, also called „Rigi of Tyrol“, offers a 360° panoramic view which is without equal. You can see the numerous glaciers of the Hohe Tauern and the Zillertal Alps rise high above the Kitzbühel Alps in the south while in the north, your eyes might reach as far as Munich on clear days. Accompanied by a constant panoramic view you walk down the southern slopes of the Hohe Salve to Kälbersalvenalm. Walk past the reservoir, then through the light forest to Jordan Chapel where you’ll find a well. The tour now leads on via Filzalm to the family outing destination, lake Filzalmsee. Eventually, an even, leisurely path takes you to the mountain station of the Hochbrixen gondola.
