Tour information

This hike starts in the center of Oberndorf. Head towards the outdoor swimming pools and follow the trail through the forest. At a clearing you get see the Kitzbüheler Horn. Continue to Rerobichlstraße Road where you find the St. Johannes Nepomuk Chapel (Rerobichl Chapel), which dates from 1732 and reminds of the heydays of mining in Oberndorf. Continue towards Lindern. After a couple of minutes you will get to see a mountain farm perched on a hill. The trail continues through a very quiet and peaceful forest with occasional views of the rugged Kaiser peaks. After the sports field keep to the right to get to picturesque Lindernhof, which affords magnificent views of the entire Kaiser range and the Kitzbüheler Horn. Continue to Achenpromenade river trail, walk through the hamlet of Reisch until you reach the B178 federal road. Cross the road and follow Reischerweg to Koasastadl, a quaint inn.  The hike continues through meadows to a small farming hamlet on the sunny side of Going. Some people may recognize the surroundings as many scenes of the popular TV show the Mountain Doctor where shot here. Continue along the winter trail to Römerhof Inn in St. Johann in Tirol and via the picturesque Granderhöfe to Rettenbach. Rettenbachstüberl is another nice place to stop for some food or coffee. Once at Innsbruckerstraße road, continue to the hamlet of Sperten and via Eberhartling and Rerobichl back to the center of Oberndorf.
