St. Johann in Tirol - Kalkstein - Baumooskogel

The tour leads from the centre of St. Johann in Tirol to Oberhofen, then along a forest path to the hamlet of Scheffau. Shortly after Scheffau, the path turns into a forest road, which you follow to the Baumooskogel (1506 m). Via the Baumoosalm and the Leitneralm you reach the Haberberg hiking parking lot.
You return to the valley via Habach. From there you hike along the Großache river back to St. Johann in Tirol.

Alternative:
At the Haberberg turn-off, keep in the direction of Aiglsau and hike along the forest path along the Krebsbach stream to the chapel in Mitterndorf. From there, walk back to the centre.
