Gmailkapelle über Kirchdorf

From the Mitterjäger inn, hike left in the direction of the settlement and then through the adjacent forest to the Schattern farm. Across the romantic forest area you reach the next pasture area. Here you have a beautiful view of Kirchdorf in Tirol and the Steinplatte in the background. The path now leads you varied through the forest up to the Lourdes Grotto. St. Bernadette and the Blessed Virgin Mary were carved in 2018 by the Kirchdorf sculptor Horst Pali, replacing the original statues from 1952. Continue hiking to the well-known Gmail Chapel - this special place magically attracts visitors. You will now hike further up to the Schatterkopf and down to the Metzgeralm and Bacheralm. From here, the trail leads leisurely along a narrow forest road back to the starting point.
