From the Gaudeamus hut, the trail winds up through sparse forest, over alpine meadows and through mountain pine fields to the mountaineer's grave at Baumgartenköpfl (1,572 m). The small -summit- in front opens up a wide view of the Kitzbühel Alps with the striking Rettenstein and the Hohe Tauern. The trail winds along stony mountain meadows to below the Ackerlhütte and then leads down to the small Stiegenbach waterfall. Along this rocky slope, the mountain trail leads up to the Schleierwasserfall (1,120 m). The rocks around the waterfall are very popular with extreme climbers. Another small challenge is the crossing of the Diebsöfen cave. Then you reach the Rummlerhof inn via a cosy forest path.
