Give Climbing a Try: Stripsenjoch - Rock Climbing / Via Ferrata

We are excited to share our passion for climbing with you! A certified mountain guide will teach you everything you need to know to get started on Via Ferrata climbing and some easy rock climbing. No prior experience required.
This tour brings us to the foot of the Wilder Kaiser’s spectacular rock walls. Leaving Griesner Alm, we hike up to the foot of Fleischbank and Totenkirchl. Your climbing guide will begin with a short gear and safety lesson to get you acquainted with the equipment. After a refueling break at Stripsenjochhütte we will hike to the nearby practice climbing area on Stripsenkopf where we will show you how to ascend a Via Ferrata safely.

Duration entire: 8 hours

Cost: € 80 per person for holders of the St. Johann Card (€ 100 without guest card), plus taxi costs
Equipment: Helmet*, climbing harness*, Via Ferrata set with energy absorption system* and climbing shoes* (*available for rent if needed).
Hiking gear, hiking boots, Via Ferrata and/or cycling gloves, small backpack, food.
Cost for rental equipment (helmet, climbing harness, Via Ferrata set, climbing shoes): - € 20 per person; not included

Difficulty: ### For experienced hikers who can safely negotiate difficult or rough
terrain and exposed sections with handholds/cables. Prerequisites: sure-footedness and a good head for heights.

General Information: max. 6 participants per mountain guide, every tour must have at least 1 participant enrolled in order to take place!

Every registered participant will be contacted by telephone by the mountain guide the evening before the tour. To ensure that we can always offer our guests a unique mountain experience, we reserve the right to make small changes to the programme and to adjust the starting time and meeting point according to the conditions and weather. If the weather is really bad, we are happy to offer taster courses in the Kitzbühel or St. Johann climbing halls.
