Vollmondwanderung zur Einsiedelei

With a total length of 280 kilometers and 23 individual stages, the Eagle Walk is one of the Alps' most famous long-distance hiking routes. The first stage starts at Rummlerhof in St. Johann in Tirol and leads past the Diebsöfen (Thieves Caves) to the spectacular Schleier Waterfall. After enjoying the superb views we head back to Gasthof Rummlerhof.
Walking time: approx. 5 hours
Elevation gain: 700 m
Difficulty: ## Suitable for slightly advanced hikers who are comfortable on alpine trails. Trails can have exposed sections that require a good head for heights.
Effort Level: ## 600 - 900 meters elevation gain and loss
Hiking guides may change the tour program at their discretion due to adverse weather conditions and/or participants’ experience levels.
Hikers who show up with inappropriate gear will not be allowed to join the tour! All guided hikes are free of charge with St. Johann Card (without guest card € 10). Any cost for taxi and mountain lifts must be paid by the participants themselves. Dogs are not allowed! No registration required!
Equipment: sturdy hiking boots (no trainers!), appropriate clothing, water (!), snacks, rainwear, sun screen/sun protection, backpack and – optional – hiking poles. (Hiking poles can be rented at the tourist office.)
