Together we drive from St. Johann in Tirol to Griesner Alm in the pristine Kaiserbachtal, where we start our hike to Fritz-Pflaum-Hütte (1,866 m). The trail zizags up between two precipitous peaks - Mitterkaiser and Predigtstuhl - to „Großes Griesner Tor“ and on to the huge Griesnerkar Cirque with Fritz Pflaum-Hütte (not serviced - bring your own food and water), a gorgeous old stone hut amid the Kaiser’s countless towers, turret and spires. The views during this hike are absolutely breath taking! Don't forget drinks and snacks!

Duration: about 5,5 hours

Difficulty: ### Suitable for beginners who are comfortable on narrow trails.

Effort Level: #### 900 - 1.400 meters elevation gain and loss

Hiking guides may change the tour program at their discretion due to adverse weather conditions and/or participants’ experience levels.
Hikers who show up with inappropriate gear will not be allowed to join the tour!

All guided hikes are free of charge with St. Johann Card (without guest card € 10). Discounts with guest card from the regions St. Johann in Tirol, PillerseeTal, Brixental and Hohe Salve. Any cost for mountain lifts must be paid by the participants themselves. Dogs are not allowed!

Equipment: sturdy hiking boots (no trainers), appropriate clothing, water, snacks, rainwear, sun screen/sun protection, backpack, hiking poles (hiking poles can be rented at the tourist office)
