Quality requirements for the Tirol slope seal of approval
The slope areas must meet a minimum standard and reach an appropriate standard with regard to preparation, orientation, signposting and safeguarding danger points. Additionally, the start and finish areas are to be signposted and must have relevant facilities and information. Slope areas which deal with visitors daily must have well-organised parking options at an appropriate distance to the start and finish areas; their size must be appropriate to the extent of the slopes on offer. The slope area should have at least 3 slopes. The slopes must be independent of one another and have dual-track areas. The routes should only run on short sections directly next to one another. The slope seal of approval may only be given to cross-country skiing areas which have an average of at least 80 days of snow (days when snow coverage is around 10cm) during the winter.
