Jakobsweg - section via Erpfendorf, Kirchdorf, St. Johann in Tirol
Jakobsweg is an ancient pilgrim's path to what is allegedly the grave of St Jacob the Elder, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. The grave is located in Santiago de Compostela in the north west of Spain. The Jakobsweg trail always starts where a pilgrimage began, the Spanish section of the Jakobsweg trail from the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela is however the best known.
The route proceeds through the Kitzbüheler Alpen in Tirol from Lofer via Waidring to Erpfendorf, Kirchdorf and St. Johann in Tirol.
