St. Johann in Tirol, 05.07.2018 - 11.10.2018 (Th)
This tour starts at Fischbachalm in the pristine Kaiserbachtal nature preserve. The trail climbs steeply to Kleines Griesner Kar, a rock-strewn cirque. The route then traces a way roughly through the middle of an extremely steep scree slope. At the most difficult spot a cable has been fixed to which climbers must attach themselves. Afterwards you will continue the ascend roped to the mountain guide. The effort is rewarded with magnificent panorama views of Lake Chiemsee, the Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge, the Kitzbüheler Alps and the Kaiser mountains. After a rest, we descend back to the cirque, circumvent Mitterkaiser and continue down via Fritz Pflaum Hütte to Griesner Alm. This strenuous loop offers spectacular views from one of the Kaiser’s most quiet peaks.
