Mountain guide programme in spring & autumn - Offers

Gather first climbing experiences around the Wilder Kaiser

Going beyond your limits and experiencing the world from a bird's-eye view, the liberating feeling of having reached the goal under your own steam and enjoying the sense of lightheartedness. The passion for this "special" feeling won't let go of those who have ever made this experience. Together with our local mountain guides, these dreams become true. The team of the holiday region wish you unforgettable experiences and perfect selfies at the summit cross!

On all days, a bad weather program can be arranged on request in the boulder or climbing hall. This program is run in cooperation with the Tirolean Mountain Guide Association – section Kitzbühel by licensed and certified mounting and ski guides.

Day 1

Guided and accompanied by certified mountain guides, whom you meet during the welcome evening, these days are sure to be a special experience. They will teach you everything about the proper technique on the via ferrata and on easy rock routes. The small group size allows individual prior knowledge to be accommodated.

Day 2

A short hike leads us through beautiful Grießbachklamm gorge, where we familiarise ourselves with the gear in the climbing crag and make first contact with the rocks on easy routes. Depending on our motivation, we wrap up the day with a hike or stop off at a cosy inn.

Day 3

The next tour takes us directly beneath the impressive walls of the Wilder Kaiser. From the Griesner Alm lodge we walk up to the foot of Fleischbank and Totenkirchl, where under instruction of the mountain guide we take our first steps in the famous Kaiser rock. After some refreshment at Stripsenjochhaus Alpine club hut, we learn the basics of negotiating via ferratas at the nearby practice via ferrata by the Stripsenkopf.

Day 4

The most direct way across the rugged north face of the Kitzbüheler Horn. freedom, rock with plenty of grip, steep rises, lofty ridges and unique views expect us on this via ferrata. The cable car brings us conveniently up to the Harschbichl, and after a short climb along the via ferrata up to the summit. Here breathtaking views of the Wilder Kaiser across the Kitzbüheler Alpen all the way to the Hohe Tauern await us. On the way down, we marvel at the botanical diversity in the alpine flower garden, before we get to the Harschbichlalm lodge through the rock arch via the Ludwig Scheiber path.
