Use of leads is compulsory

The St. Johann in Tirol region awaits you and provides a unique landscape! We would of course be delighted if your best friend and their four paws accompanied you while you are out exploring. On the walking routes and in the centre of town we would however remind you that the use of leads is compulsory.

And so everyone gets to enjoy the routes, we would ask that the walking and hiking routes are kept clean. Dog poo bag dispensers and bins to dispose of waste can be found at regular sections on routes.

"On the road!” with your four-legged friend

When your dog is on a lead and is wearing a muzzle, they can travel with you on all regional bus services. Anyone who travels by train, can take their dog with them into the compartment when they have a dog ticket. Leads and muzzles are compulsory when dogs are taken on trains. Small lap dogs can travel free of charge when they are in a dog carrier.

Head up into the mountains via the cable car. In St. Johann in Tirol your furry companion can travel with you for a small surcharge. All the cable cars that are dog-friendly are designated with a symbol on the Kitzbühel Alps Summer Card.
