One mountain, so many options. The Harschbichlbahn operated by St. Johann in Tirol cable car takes you conveniently up the mountain in the summer too. On the Harschbichl in St. Johann in Tirol you will definitely find a leisure activity to suit you. Action is provided by the ’Hornpark’ tree top adventure park and Mountain carts at the Harschbichlbahn middle station. If you enjoy hiking, then there is the Horn summit mountain trail which provides plenty of views. You get to enjoy a fantastic panoramic view to the surrounding mountains here. As a mountain biker, a variety-packed Single Trail and Skill Park awaits you.

  • Every tour description also indicates the starting point of the hike. Your accommodation provider or our staff in the info offices will also be happy to help you if you cannot find the starting point right away.

  • Our trails are signposted with yellow hiking info-boards, which indicate the destination, snack stops and often also the walking time.

  • A list with closing days is available in all info offices or check the opening hours here. Please note that in bad weather, lodges and huts can sometimes also be closed outside of closing days.

  • Generally, you are always on the safe side when booking your accommodation in advance. Especially in July and August or on weekends, the lodges are quite busy.

  • The best months for hiking are mid-May to end of October – depending on weather conditions.

  • A precise description of the trails, markings and signs can be found here.

  • In summer, you’ll find more than 30 gondola lifts and chairlifts available in the Kitzbühel Alps. The mountain cableways are open from the end of May until the beginning of November. Please note that opening hours of individual mountain cableways may differ. The current opening hours of the mountain cableways can be found here.

  • Of course, you can take your dog with you when hiking. However, we would like to point out that in town and village centres and on footpaths, dogs must be kept on the leash. We kindly ask you to keep footpaths and hiking trails clean, that’s why you’ll find poop bags dispensers and rubbish bins for disposal put up at regular intervals. On exposed hikes, especially on steep paths, you must expect some walking or climbing sections which cannot be negotiated by dogs. Ask your accommodation provider or our info offices before setting off on your hike.

  • According to the Tyrolean camping law (2001), camping outside of camping sites is not permitted.
