Local heritage museum St. Johann in Tirol
In the 18th century the two buildings served as correction houses for priests accused of inappropriate behavior. For the past several years the houses have been accommodating a museum and gallery to document the historic development of St. Johann in Tirol. Points of focus include historic costumes, history of the local schools, Schützen and battles for freedom, copper and silver mining, the former summer residence of the bishops of Lake Chiemsee, the beginnings of tourism, nostalgic memorabilia, and the Kaiser Massif.
Adults: € 2,50; with St. Johann Card € 2,00
Youth from 14 years: € 2,00; with St. Johann Card €1,50
Children, until 14 years, have free entrance!
OPENING TIMES: 27th June to 30rd September
27th June - 10th July: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-12
11th July - 30rd September: Tuesday - Saturday 10-12 and Thursday 4-6pm
