This hike takes us along theStations of the Cross trail to the Weeping Virgin Mary hermitage. The trailfeatures a series of wooden sculptures that were made by the local artist HorstPali. The hermitage is Tirol’s last occupied hermitage and has been providingshelter to Christian hermits for the last 300 years. From thehermitage we walk through meadows, forests and pastures to friendly Bacherlam.Along the way we will learn about the flora and fauna found on NiederkaiserRidge. The dairy woman at Bacheralm is a certified herbalist. Over a cup ofhomemade herbal infusion she will teach us about the use of local herbs.
From Bacheralm we head down to Gasteig where we catch a cab back to St.Johann in Tirol.

Hikers who show up withinappropriate gear will not be allowed to join the tour! All guided hikes arefree of charge with St. Johann Card (without guest card € 10). Any cost fortaxi and mountain lifts must be paid by the participants themselves. Dogs are not allowed! Noregistration required!
Equipment: sturdy hiking boots (no trainers!),appropriate clothing, water (!), snacks, rainwear, sun screen/sun protection, backpackand – optional – hiking poles. (Hiking poles can be rented at the touristoffice.)
