European Winter Hiking Days: Hike Hochfilzen Biathlon Stadium - Hoametzlhütte

Winter hike as part of the European Winter Hiking Days (09-12 March 2023)

Meeting point / start: 9:30 a.m. in front of the Hochfilzen Tourist Office / Municipal Office
Arrival with Regiobus free of charge for guests with guest card.
Route: from the village centre we walk along the biathlon world championship path towards the stadium. After a short visit we continue towards Oberwarming. Here we start the ascent to the Hoametzlhütte via Tennweg. Having reached the highest point of the tour, we stop at the Hoametzlhütte and enjoy the wonderful panorama from the sunny terrace.
We return to the valley via the same path. 
TIP: rent a toboggan at the hut and whizz down the toboggan run into the valley (helmet recommended!).
