The tour highlight of the SWATCH FREERIDE WORLD TOUR
In March 2017 the Freeride Mecca of Fieberbrunn in Tirol’s PillerseeTal will once again be a hub for the international freeriding scene and the only stop of the excellent freeride event, the SWATCH FREERIDE WORLD TOUR BY THE NORTH FACE in Austria and Germany.
The time will come in March 2017. The world’s best freeriders will throw themselves into the Big Mountain in search for the perfect line from the summit of Fieberbrunn’s local mountain, the Wildseeloder.
The world’s best freeriders have to climb to the summit of the Wildseeloder for 40 minutes, before they tackle the start at 2118 metres, down into the 620 metres altitude slope. Here there is a slope gradient of up to 70 degrees. The audience can follow the freeriders‘ lines in the Contest Village on the Lärchfilzkogel opposite (1645m). In this spectator stand is made from snow, and is reminiscent of an ancient amphitheatre, an extensive programme of supporting events is on offer as part of the competition. Thanks to the live broadcast on a giant screen, presentation and Fan TV, the spectators in the snow arena on the Lärchfilzkogel won’t miss a thing. Thousands of fans have in years past flocked to the Lärchfilzkogel to be there at this show on the Wildseeloder!
