One of the oldest small hydroelectric power plants in Tyrol is located on the Luigambach in Kirchdorf in Tirol. The "Talschmiede" farm was once located where the reservoir in Kirchdorf is today. When the dam project on the Luigam was implemented in 1901/1902, this farm had to give way. To generate electricity, a 10 meter high wall was erected and 354 meters of pressure pipelines were laid. From 1954 to 2020, the power station was maintained and operated by TIWAG.

The municipality of Kirchdorf in Tirol has been the owner since 2020 and, together with the tourism association, has revitalized this industrial monument together with the attractive natural areas (completion summer 2022).
