Tour information

From the car park at the Hopfgarten information office, it is best to follow the signs to 'KAT Walk Winter'. Walk eastwards across the car park and cross under the railway line at the end. Now follow the Brixentaler Straße out of town - about 100 m - until you reach the old wooden bridge over the Brixentaler Ache river. Cross the bridge and continue to follow the signs for 'KAT Walk Winter'.

Follow the Kelchsau road into the valley until you reach the newly built Elsbethen bridge on the left. Once you have crossed it, the signposting 'Elsbethen Runde' leads you clockwise through the peaceful hamlet. Among other things, you can discover romantic farms, beautiful Alpine-style houses and, of course, the Elsbethen church that gives the village its name. The latter invites you to linger and sunbathe on its small hill with a view of the Hohe Salve and the market town of Hopfgarten and to contemplate.
