The starting point is the Itter information office, directly on the village square; here you will also find a small public parking place.
The circular trail starts straight ahead in the direction of Ittererwirt/Café Stefan's Dorfladen. Then turn left onto Rosenweg. Follow a narrow asphalt path to the fork in the road, past the viewing platform. From here you have a unique view of Itter Castle and the surrounding villages of the Hohe Salve holiday region.
At the fork, keep left and follow the shady forest path, which turns into a meadow path after a few metres. When you reach the Rosenweg stamping post, pass the beautifully landscaped stair bed and then keep to the right. At the crossroads, turn right again and you will see the Itterer Dörfl with its traditional farms.
At the centre of the village, keep left and cross Itterer Straße, to the side of the fire station. Here the asphalt road changes to a gravel path. Following the small incline, turn right again at the top onto the Scherzerweg in the direction of Lindweg. At the Lindweg fork, you can shorten the hike to the right directly back to the village square.
Hikers, however, should keep to the left and continue straight ahead between the houses to the small rest area, which invites you to take a break with a view of Itter.
After a well-deserved rest, keep to the right in the direction of the sports field, where you turn right again and follow the path back to the village square.
If you want to do this hike with a pram, keep to the right at the first fork and walk past the rITTER playground. After a play break, you arrive directly at the Itterer Dörfl and continue following the above description.
This hike is NOT suitable for prams in winter.
