The starting point of the first KAT Bike E-njoy stage is the tranquil pilgrimage village of Mariastein. From there, you take the marked route via Angerberg down to the green Inn River. Cross the river at the footbridge and then join the Inn cycle path. Follow this in the direction of Kufstein for about 400 m until you reach the junction with cycle path no. 21 Brixentalradweg. Follow this path in a south-easterly direction along the Brixentaler Ache river..
Leaving the small town of Wörgl behind you, you now cycle on to Hopfgarten - always on a gentle but steady incline. Pass the Lerchen pond in Hopfgarten, where fish lovers can enjoy the best trout in the Brixen Valley, and continue to the Kelchsau junction. Cross this and after approx. 150 m turn right uphill on an asphalt road (MTB Route 229) into the wonderful mountain village of Penningdörfl.
A little off the route - directly in Penninger Dörfl - is the "Milchbuben" show farm. There you have the opportunity to watch the two young entrepreneurs making their own camembert, mountain cheese and other Tyrolean farm products, and to taste and buy the products straight away.
This little refreshment is ideal to gather strength for the next ascent.
