This mountain hike with a summit cross victory leads over forest roads, small meadow and forest paths and asphalt roads. The starting point is the village square in Itter. Along the Way of St. James you walk over Schwendter Weg to the Salvista gondola. From the western end of the parking lot of the gondola a footpath (underpass) leads directly to the opposite side of the valley.
Following the signs, you continue over a meadow and forest path. Directly at the inn Gasthof Badhaus, the hiking trail no. 1 leads steeply through the wood to Lengauer Chapel. The “Saint Anna Chapel in Lengau” below the Großer Pölven has been lovingly restored and is definitely worth a visit.
The tour continues on a small path through a dense forest up to 1181 m, to Juffinger Jöchl/Paisslberg. From there you enjoy a fantastic view of the Kitzbühel Alps, the Hohe Tauern and the village of Itter. To continue the circular hike, take hiking path no 6a to the fork in the road. From there follow the sign to the inn Gasthof Stallhäusl. Below the inn, a steep forest path leads downhill to the road and back again to Gasthof Badhaus. From there you take the same way back to the starting point.
In rainy or wet conditions. we recommend the descent from Gasthof Stallhäusl along the road back to Gasthof Badhaus.
