Start this leisurely walk at the tourist information office in Hopfgarten and walk in the direction of the church. Walk past the church and follow the road which leads past the home for the elderly. Cross the road and walk uphill for a couple of metres in the direction of “Hacha”. You now have arrived at the beginning of the Badlwiedenweg path, a small forest path on your left. Continue along this path until you get to Itter road. Now walk along the asphalt road uphill round a bend where you get to a small fountain. From there, a short yet steep path leads you directly to Itter.
Once arrived at the plateau you the route takes you past the football ground and to a small chapel and a cosy bench next to it. Have a break there and enjoy the views of the lush fields, the small hamlets and the church of Itter. The walk continues along another forest path to the hamlet Hacha. To return to your starting point you now follow the asphalt road downhill back to Hopfgarten and further on to the tourist information office
