Itter, Alte Bundesstraße 1

Book now

Event information

Take the new 10-seater gondola Salvistabahn Itter to the mountain station of the panoramic mountain Kleine Salve (1.565m) where you'll be musically greeted by alphorn blowers at 2 p.m.. Then head to the nearby Kleine Salve reservoir, where the musicians will send "tunes" over the crystal-clear mountain lake with their flugelhorns. Enjoy the view during the leisurely walk and learn interesting facts about the history of the region. Everyone knows how to yodel in the Alps, but only very few can do it. Our "Yodel Peter" will tell you the technique and with simple breathing exercises you can easily learn the art of yodelling. Fun and joy are of course the main focus. The course is also ideal for "whooping & hollering". A stop for a break is not to be missed: After an easy hike to the Alpengasthof Rigi, the musicians entertain you with lively songs. At the end, hike back up to the Kleine Salve to the gondola lift, where you will be bid farewell with mountain tunes, hollering and whooping.
