March is the month when the first heralds of spring burst upon the scene. Parks and gardens turn into seas of blossoms, trees and shrubs boast with blooms and colours. For the local farmers and their wives the arrival of spring means that it is time to get out into nature and back on the fields again.
The Wörgl Farmers’ Spring Festival, the “Bauernfrühling”, takes place in the heart of the energy-conscious town of Wörgl and is focusing on local agriculture and traditional peasant crafts. The festival and the market lay emphasis on the value of the regional diversity and show how important it is to have it preserved and protected.
