Christmas Concert feat. a Baroque Orchestra
A Baroque orchestra can be experienced, alive and innovative at the same time. This has been proved by the Vorarlberg ensemble Concerto Stella Matutina since its formation in 2005. Building on a repertoire off the beaten track the orchestra represents one of the most important Baroque ensembles in Austria. On 15 December the orchestra and Martin Mallaun (zither) as a solo artist will stop for a Christmas concert at the Baroque parish church of Hopfgarten. Among others the programme will include the famous Christmas concerto by the Baroque composer Arcangelo Corelli.
Arcangelo Corelli (1653–1713) – Concerto fatto per la notte di Natale
Melchior Rauchenbacher (1st half of the 18th cent.) – Sonata Pastoralis
Johann Georg Rauch (1658–1710) – Sonate Decima "Pastorella"
Concerto a cinque in C major (Sylvius Leopld Weiss 1687-1750) for lute Solo and orchestra
Suite in f-Moll (Sylvius Leopld Weiss 1687-1750) for lute Solo
