A special highlight - breakfast on the mountain in the Kitzbüheler Alpen
Culinary Kitzbüheler Alpen
Austrian cuisine is famed for its Viennese Schnitzel and 'Germknödel' (yeasted dumplings filled with plum jam). The people of Tyrol dish up quite a few delicious treats too, such as 'Gröstl' (roast meat and potatoes) and 'Kasspatzln' (cheese dumplings). The Kitzbüheler Alpen are a real treasure trove of regional and trans-regional dishes - on the one hand simple and hearty, and on the other full-flavored and fancy. With the following selection of typical-regional recipes you can take a bit of good, tasty Tyrolean cooking back home with you! Have fun cooking the meals!
If something tastes especially good in the Kitzbüheler Alpen, just ask the chef for his recipe. With a bit of luck he'll let you in on his secret!
