Beginners get to experience this sense of achievement fast when they head out for a few hours on Lärchenhof golf course. Learning is much more fun on the academy short course than constantly hitting on a driving range...Those who have advanced level skills can hone their handicap with the Steinberge mountains and the Kaiser mountains in their sights – and on a round on the scenic 9-hole tournament course you get to enjoy teeing-off and a fantastic view. Nestling in the grass mountains of the Kitzbüheler Alpen is the little town of Erpfendorf (1150 inhabitants), a wonderful place for anyone who is happy being out and about enjoying activities. In addition to its own golf course (and the 11 additional courses in the 30 kilometre surrounding area!) the holiday town is attractive thanks to its extensive network of horse-riding routes – and the opportunity to get some initial experience of being on horseback with some guidance from professionals. For hikers and cyclists Erpfendorf is the main starting point for dreamy tours into the Kaiser mountains, the Kitzbüheler Horn, the Steinplatte and for a dreamy tour through the wild and romantic Grießbach Gorge. Where in summer lush green alpine pastures tempt you to head out on a hike, in winter skiers have one of the most beautiful snow paradises at their feet. The wide and long pistes on the Steinplatte take you right into Reit im Winkl in Germany. Those new to skiing are very well catered for in Erpfendorf. After some initial ski sessions on the family-friendly local slope, you can head into the main ski areas in the nearby areas without any problem at all. Cross-country skiers have access to the long, sun-blessed slopes of St. Johann in Tirol and also to nearby Waidring, while fans of Biathlon can test how accurate they are after skating in the winter sports arena in Lärchenhof.

Erpfendorf (630 metres altitude) is, with barely over 1150 inhabitants, probably one of the smallest towns in the holiday region of the Kitzbüheler Alpen St. Johann in Tirol, yet scores points with its fantastic holiday options and holiday offers which are available year-round. The tranquil, idyllic village nestles in the grass mountains in the Kitzbüheler Alpen, which lends the landscape a wild and romantic character.
